TROPIKALIA’s colorful range of beachwear and beach accessories represents the ultimate tropical lifestyle for all ages, by the seaside or poolside. All our prints and choice of colors pay homage to Tropikalia’a Motherland, Bali Indonesia, a home that never ceases to inspire our creative developments. 

We’re a small team of play-hard and work-hard sun worshippers who began this journey together in 2013 when we launched the startup beach towel brand, BaliTowel, which (we are proud to say) has finally morphed into all its glory as the TROPIKALIA brand today, like a butterfly from its cocoon! 

From the very beginning we have embraced the local artisans of Bali by employing the ethical and skillful hands of Batik masters using traditional techniques in block printing, as well as modern silkscreen printing using colorfast dyeing techniques on all-natural fabrics.

In today’s world of consumerism, Tropikalia’s main endeavor has steered towards creating products that are not only useful, joyful and vibrant in each design, but more importantly, each creation is manufactured with utmost respect for our environment. We adhere to the practice of adopting eco conscious and ethical means wherever possible and apply a strict zero waste policy in our factory by upcycling fabric cut offs to the making of hair scrunchies, eye masks and handkerchiefs so nothing goes to waste as toxic landfill.

Fabric donations are often made to village mums of the Bali Street Kids Project who make clothes for their handcrafted fair trade dolls. All packaging is made by Avani from 100% biodegradable cassava to minimize pollution from single use products.

Beach Towels, Kids Hoodies and Beach Bags are made from 100% cotton fabrics, whereas our Kaftans and Sarongs are 100% Viscose. 

Every year a new collection boasts a fresh mix of monochrome prints and eye-catching fluorescent hues set amongst a marriage of tropical flora and fauna inspired designs.
